Our Pet Story
Linda Cullum, My Pet Story.
The idea of the website came to me when I lost my beautiful Belgian girl, Spirit. We had almost 17 fantastic years together! We hiked many mountains and forded many streams!
When I lost her I never knew how painful it would be; she was my first (dog). So after buckets of tears and some years, I wrote a song about it and had my cowriter and fellow Pet Song creator, June, step in and help me finish it. Have a listen! (Click on Listen in bowser)
On my many walks since with my other Belgian girls (of course!) I have run into so many people who were either very sad from the passing of their pet or euphoric with their current pet. I am referring mostly to dogs, but I had a cat named Boo who I had for 18 years who traveled the USA with me countless times and walked with me like a dog. I know the grief of losing a cat as well, and also the great joy I had! It was purrfect!!
So I (and June) want to create songs for your pet(s), whatever species! They are so special and a beautiful extension of ourselves.

I have been a life-long “dog person” but found my breed when I saw a Borzoi at a local dog show. I only wanted a pet and found an amazing ethical breeder in California who had the temperament I was looking for. Enter Panda, my “pet” Borzoi. A friend suggested I take Panda out to a lure coursing field to see if I liked the sport. Panda was crazy for the lure . . . and fast forward two years and 30,000 miles later, Panda attained my AKC Field Championship. Later, Panda would also finish my conformation championship and now Panda is DC Kelcorov’s Cersei LIght of the West SC, GRC, BCAT. Panda is now happily retired on my bed!

Borzoi are like potato chips. You can’t just have one . . . so I got Panda’s half sister, Kai, 
and I became a conformation champion (CH Kelcorov’s Kai SC), and the mommy to a wonderful litter of puppies. This event launched my new kennel, SoulGazer Borzoi. I kept two puppies 
who became conformation champions at barely a year old! And now I am embarking on lure coursing/field events with them. Kai is also happily retired on my bed while my puppies are out galavanting across the country with me.
